A Week of Meals for $25

I recently made a video about how I made a weeks worth of meals for my family of 4 for $75.40. My typical grocery budget for my family of 4 is $100, but since one in my family is under a year old I thought that I would budget this week for $75 (what my budget for 3 people used to be). That comes to $25.13 per person for an entire week of meals + snacks.

You can likely do this for even cheaper because you probably have some of the items in your pantry already.

The meals I made from this grocery haul are:

Breakfast

(2)Eggs & Toast, eggs, toast, butter/jelly

(3)Pancakes or waffles w syrup – I made them from scratch

(2)Oatmeal – oats, banana, honey, chia seeds, PB

Lunch

  1. Grilled Cheese – Tomato soup – bread, cheese, tomato soup
  2. PBJ – with apples & carrots
  3. Peanut Butter, Honey & chia wrap w apples & carrots
  4. Quesadilla – peppers, cheese, onion, sour cream
  5. Left over stir fry (from a previous dinner)
  6. Spaghetti
  7. Egg salad Sandwich w/ apples & carrots 

Snacks

  • Wheat thins w cheese
  • Yogurt
  • Fruit – apple/banana

Dinner

  1. Whole chicken w/ potatoes & broccoli
  2. Loaded potato w/ left over chicken & broccoli, butter, cheese & sour cream
  3. Stir Fry – Rice, vegetables, egg, soy sauce (left over chix if any)
  4. Tacos – wrap, ground beef, cheese, tomato, rice, beans,
  5. Leftovers
  6. Ramen, broth, poached egg, avocado, onion (can add broccoli if there is any left)
  7. Chicken bowls – onion, beans, fried banana, sour cream, avocado, chicken, rice

3 dozen eggs

2 loafs bread

1 pound of butter

Old fashioned or quick oats

6 bananas

Honey

Chia Seeds

Syrup

1/2 gallon milk

Tomato soup

8oz block of cheese

3lb bag of apples

20 pack small taco tortillas

1lb carrots

Bag onions

Sour cream

1 jar pasta sauce

3 yogurt cups (or big tub of yogurt)

Wheat Thins

1lb bag of rice

2 Frozen Stir Fry vegetable bags

Soy Sauce

Black Beans

1lb Ground Beef

1 large tomato

5lb Bag of tomatos

Whole Chicken

2 crowns broccoli

3 Packs Ramen

32oz chicken broth

4 avocados

1 chicken breast
