Barcelona is one of my all time favorite cities. Anytime that I am in Europe, I somehow end up making a side trip to Barcelona. There is just something magical and warm about the city that can’t keep me away. It is a city different from any other Spanish city, because the region of Catalunya has a very distinct character – they have their own language, flag and customs. In fact, many Catalonians want Barcelona to be it’s own country entirely. I could talk endlessly about my love for Barcelona, so you can imagine that this top 5 list was REALLY hard for me to make.

Finding Romance in Barcelona – Love and Travel

The ‘love holidays’ are some of my favorite holidays. Sometimes they are spent at home, and sometimes you set off on an adventure. Love and travel seem to go together. But, what if you’re on a long trip that isn’t necessarily planned around one of those love holidays? Having a date night while traveling can be a bit tricky if you didn’t plan for it. You want to make sure that it isn’t just another day of exploring, but that you’re also finding the romance. Especially if you are traveling with kids.

48 Hours in Sarajevo

Despite the clear signs of struggle and warfare, Sarajevo is a beautiful city rich in diversity (both religious and cultural). Sarajevo is worth at least a 2-3 day stop on your trip to Bosnia & Herzegovina. I hope your time is spent more dry than ours. We got soaked the first day we arrived!

The smell of espresso beans is in the air and I see a delicious pain au chocolat staring at me as I walk into the café. I’ve been in Paris for 2 days, and I have realized that it is so easy to get carried away by everything that Paris has to offer. 5 Free Museums in London You Must See

London is known for being very expensive, and to be honest, it is. When I’m in Europe, London is one place where I end up spending more than most other cities. Not only is the cost of living higher, the Pound is stronger than both the Euro and the Dollar, meaning that my money doesn’t go as far. And, while this is true, it never stops me from going to London because there is so much to see and do – a lot of it affordable. In fact, one of the best things about touring the city are all of the free London museums!
